Our Doctors
Dr. Amy McMullen, MD joined the practice in 2010. Dr. McMullen performed her hematology/oncology training at the Stanford UniversitySchool of Medicine.
After her undergraduate work at Stanford majoring in both Music and Biology, Amy attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She moved to Boston for her Internal Medicine residency at Harvard Medical School's program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Amy then returned to Stanford University to complete her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
Dr. McMullen is a member of the Association of Northern California Oncologists. In addition to caring for her patients at Central Coast Oncology & Hematology, she is an active staff member at Dominican Santa Cruz Hospital and Watsonville Community Hospital.
Amy is devoted to providing personalized compassionate care to all her patients.
Alice Foley, PA-C joined the practice in 2013.
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology at the University of California at Santa Barbara, she completed her Masters of Clinical Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University in Florida. Alice then returned to California to join Central Coast Oncology & Hematology where she works closely with Dr. McMullen.

Alice enjoys participating in the annual American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Dr. Michael Yen, MD, PhD joined the practice in 2008 after completing his oncology training at Stanford University.
Dr. Yen also started at Stanford University with his undergraduate degree in Biology. He then completed his MD and PhD degrees at UC San Diego as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he studied the immune system. He then went to the Internal Medicine residency program at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Yen returned to Stanford University to complete his fellowship in Medical Oncology and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Developmental Biology.
From his doctoral thesis work, Dr. Yen particularly appreciates the new immune modulating therapies now available for treating cancer. He is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Association of Northern California Oncologists. He has privileges at both Dominican Hospital and Watsonville Community Hospital.
Dr. Yen is committed to providing outstanding oncological care here in Santa Cruz.

Giving Back to the Community
CCOH is proud of its doctors commitment to the community. The doctors and members of the staff participate yearly in the Relay for Life events (American Cancer Society), a celebration of survivorship. The practice has supported Hospice, Jacobs Heart, WomenCare, Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, AIDS education and the Katz Cancer Resource Center at Dominican Hospital. Other special interests include: The Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley Educational Foundation, Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, Friends of Santa Cruz Public Library, The American Red Cross, Humane Society and the Wharf to Wharf medical team.
